Project to provide numerical methods to solve the Perthame equations

This project was developed for the course Numerical Analysis in Partial Differential Equations, Theory and Practice.

The goal of the project is to provide numerical methods to solve the Perthame equations (Mirrahimi et al., 2012), which model the evolution of species in an ecosystem.

Various experiments were conducted in this project. In particular, conditions were set to observe evolutionary divergence, a survival condition, and an extinction condition. These three experiments are shown below:
